team-up thursday: frog pond trail

This past weekend was our church women’s retreat up at Unicoi State Park. Erika & I decided to take a little photo walk around the frog pond during some free time on Saturday (oddly enough, frogs were nowhere to be found). Thus, our theme – we chose a favorite photo from our walk. I love Erika’s daffodil – the dof is lovely. My photo of the fern (?) is unlike most of the shots I took that day & I think that’s why I chose it. It’d be worth it to take a peek at the other diptychs this week so be sure to hop on over here.

The weather was amazing! Just wish the winter hadn’t lasted so long – maybe more of the plants, trees, & flowers would have been blooming. But, thankfully, the daffodils were aplenty and there were some interesting plants to photograph. It was a fantastic weekend filled with laughter & tears, worship & learning, and lots of eating. Remember that old tune “make new friends but keep the old, one is silver & the other gold”? That’s what it was like spending roughly 24 hours with 50 ladies – a true blessing meeting new people and spending time with dear friends as we focused on Our Creator. That’s what I call a retreat.
