team-up thursday: color

This week’s theme is color. Once again, I absolutely love Erika’s entry – so elegant… simple… stunning. And, wow, the green is gorgeous. While she chose to focus on a single color, I opted for a shot with a variety of colors. My niece was desperately trying to catch the cherry blossoms being blown about by the wind just before an egg hunt. I love the contrast of her fuchsia basket against the lush green grass, how that pink in her top matches the basket as well. And just a touch of blue sky peeking through the trees in the background.

Be sure to check out all the other entries on the Flickr page where you are sure to see some beautiful diptychs.

I would like to think that I’m the only one that sees this (ha) but can you see how her stem is shaped like your niece with her basket out?? Cool. Love that pop of fushia in your shot. Great job, team.

Love these two photos together–and Melody’s comment made me go back and look again. She’s right—you couldn’t have planned it better!

I was going to say all that you said about your photo. I also like the focus on one color in the other photo.

the contrast is so wonderful. the green shot is so calming, while your shot offers so much to look at — great interpretation of color!
